In this episode, we’re discussing Zach Cregger's 2025 movie, Weapons. The film readily serves as a cathartic allegory about addictions – particularly, substance addiction – and how these addictions are maladaptive attempts to deal with pain.

But addiction doesn’t get the last word; there is hope for those in recovery.

We talk about the importance of a loving, supportive community in the road to recovery; more importantly, we talk about why the Christian gospel is the greater story that breaks addiction’s oppressive spell of shame and guilt – and truly sets us free.
