  • Dr. Strangelove (1964)

    Send us Fan Mail

In this episode, we gather around the Big Board and set our sights on Dr. Strangelove, Stanley Kubrick’s razor-sharp Cold War satire that somehow feels just as relevant—and just as hilarious—today as it did in 1964. We break down Kubrick’s masterful direction, the unforgettable performances (yes, multiple from Peter Sellers), and how the film balances absurdity with a chilling sense of reality. Decades later, its humor still lands, its themes still resonate, and its place among the greatest films ever made remains undeniable.

Hosted by Tage Sickler, Derek Wehrman, and Steve Teasdale.

  • Oscars Ceremony 2026 Reaction!
    Mar 22 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

We’re back with a bonus episode! Today on We Interrupt This Movie, we react to the 2026 Oscars—what we liked, what we didn’t, and how it all shook out compared to our predictions. Nothing really shocked us this year, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have thoughts. We talk about Conan O’Brien, the tight Best Actor race, and what we actually managed to get right (for once). Awards season only comes once a year, and apparently so does our ability to pretend we’re qualified to critique it.

  • Twilight (2008)

Sorry about this one… this week on We Interrupt This Movie, we sink our teeth into Twilight (2008)—yes, that Twilight—and let’s just say it’s not exactly making our top 10 anytime soon. Tage thought it would be fun (questionable judgment, honestly) to tackle a movie we don’t really enjoy, so here we are, awkward stares and all. We are joined by special guest Natalie (Tage’s wife), who helps balance out the chaos as we try to make sense of sparkly vampires, questionable romance, and dialogue that might actually drain your life force faster than Edward ever could.

Hosted by Tage Sickler and Steve Teasdale. Special Guest: Natalie Sickler

In this episode of We Interrupt This Movie, we dive headfirst into Knives Out, the first installment in Rian Johnson’s wildly entertaining whodunit series. From its razor-sharp ensemble cast to the deliciously twisty plotting, we unpack why this modern murder mystery feels both classic and completely fresh. We also talk about Daniel Craig’s boldly theatrical Southern accent, an accent so committed it deserves its own billing in the end credits. Strap in, interrogate the suspects, and mind the donuts within the donut within the donut hole.

  • Arrival (2016) - Take 2
    Feb 10 2026

This week on We Interrupt This Movie, we’re revisiting Arrival (2016) — and yes, this is Take Two. Back in the early days of the podcast, we covered the film but later realized we didn’t quite do it justice. Considering it’s one of our favorite movies of all time, that never sat right with us, so we decided it was time to return to Denis Villeneuve’s beautiful, brain-melting sci-fi masterpiece with fresh eyes and a deeper conversation. We dig into what makes Arrival so powerful—from its approach to language and time, to Jóhann Jóhannsson’s haunting score (bookended by Max Richter’s beautiful piece, On the Nature of Daylight) to Amy Adams’ incredible performance—and why this film has only grown in stature for us over the years. Sometimes a movie deserves a second pass. This one absolutely did.

It’s that magical time of year again — awards season! In this episode of We Interrupt This Movie, we dive headfirst into the 2026 race, breaking down the Golden Globe winners, reacting to the Oscar nominations, and debating which films deserve the big prizes versus which ones we think will actually take them home. • Tenet (2020)
    Jan 11 2026

The lads return after a holiday break for a deep dive into Tenet, Christopher Nolan’s wildly confusing yet undeniably thrilling time-bending spy epic, packed with inverted bullets, temporal pincer movements, jaw-dropping set pieces, and a propulsive Ludwig Göransson score that never lets up; we try to untangle what it all means while also admitting that even when Tenet makes us feel both smarter and dumber at the same time, it’s still one of the most exhilarating blockbuster puzzles ever put on screen. Don’t try to understand it… feel it.
