  • Kenny Dalglish: the player, manager & his significance to Liverpool
    Nov 17 2025

James Pearce and Simon Hughes join Tony Evans during the international break for a deep dive into the life, legacy and lasting impact of one of Liverpool’s greatest ever figures — Sir Kenny Dalglish.

With special guest Asif Kapadia, the award-winning director behind Amy, Senna and Maradona, the guys go inside the making of his new Kenny Dalglish documentary. They explore why now was the right moment to tell the story, how the film came together, and what it was like working so closely with the man himself.

From Dalglish’s arrival as Keegan’s successor in 1977, to his instant success as player-manager, to the emotional burden he carried after Hillsborough, Tony, James, Simon and Asif reflect on the genius, humanity and influence of the man often described as “The Father of the City”.

  • Inside Arne Slot's Liverpool with James Pearce: Klopp's departure, Slot's appointment & winning the title
    Nov 15 2025

James Pearce joins producer Guy to discuss his new book, Walk On: Inside Arne Slot's Liverpool, looking back on last season's historic Premier League title win.

As well as touching on the obvious inspiration for the name of the book, there are plenty of topics covered from the void left by Jurgen Klopp, the rebuilding of Liverpool's executive team with the likes of Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes through to the process that led to Slot's appointment.

The key themes of last season are also discussed in how Slot hit the ground running in his role as head coach, leading the Reds to the Premier League title while contending with three of the team's star performers heading towards the end of their contracts at Anfield.

    Nov 13 2025

  • Is the title defence over already?
    Nov 10 2025

Tony Evans is joined by Simon Hughes and James Pearce… at least for a little while — before James was forced off injured with a sore throat, and Andy Jones came off the bench to finish the game!

The panel break down the 3-0 defeat at the Etihad and debate whether Virgil van Dijk’s disallowed equaliser should have stood, and what Slot’s side are missing away from home.

With Liverpool eight points off the top and struggling, we ask: is the title defence already over? And could the Champions League become the season’s focal point?

  • Corner turned ahead of Trent's return?
    Nov 3 2025

Andy Jones and James Pearce join Tony Evans to reflect on Liverpool finally snapping their losing run in the Premier League.

The panel ask whether the 2-0 win against Villa can be a turning point for the team. And with another goal for Salah, is he slowly grinding his way back to form?

Then it's a look ahead to a massive week. Real Madrid in the Champions League means a return to Anfield for Trent Alexander-Arnold - what kind of reception will he get?

Beyond that, it's Manchester City coming to town. Can Liverpool put the terrible run behind them and head into the international break on a high?

  • Is the Villa game a must-win for Slot?
    Oct 30 2025

Gregg Evans and Simon Hughes join Tony Evans on this episode of Walk On.

As Liverpool were dumped out of the Carabao Cup at the hands of Crystal Palace, the panel assess whether Arne Slot effectively threw the tie with his selection of fringe and youth players?

And given his selection, is the weekend's match against Aston Villa now a must-win, both for any lingering title aspirations, and for Slot's job security?

  • Have Liverpool been figured out?
    Oct 27 2025

Andy Jones and Simon Hughes join Tony Evans for a debrief of another bad weekend for Liverpool, falling to Brentford (and 'Keith Andrew's well-oiled machine') 3-2.

The panel discuss why Liverpool can't seem to do the basics right, and whether the other English clubs have figured them out.

They also touch on how much credit Arne Slot has in the bank, and how long that will last if this season descends into disaster.

Finally, there's a look ahead to the Carabao Cup visit of Crystal Palace to Anfield. Should the domestic cups now be prioritised given the slumping title defence?
