Joe is the author of five books, “Shelby’s Grace”, “Daniel, The Miracle Beagle”, “The Dog Ate My Homework, or Did He” and his newest releases, “God, Shelby and Me”, and “A Conversation With Daniel”

Daniel the Beagle died on June 29, 2021, from a fast-spreading cancer called hemangiosarcoma. He was known as a "miracle dog" for surviving a gas chamber euthanasia in Alabama in 2011, after which he was adopted by Dwyer family in New Jersey became an advocate for animal welfare.
