Vesper's Plotting

With Orion and Bertram dead, the Craft Guild teeters on the edge of chaos. Vesper takes his first steps as Guildmaster, walking the Craft Tower complex to assess its defenses and finding them dangerously inadequate. When he observes Sergeant Lann drilling recruits with uncommon skill and authority, Vesper sees an opportunity to secure the tower's defenses. But promoting a young sergeant to Captain is only the first piece of rebuilding the guild's fractured leadership. With the tower's military command established, Vesper must now find someone to help him manage the sprawling guild—a task he knows he's wholly unqualified to handle alone.
