True generosity begins with rest and trust in God rather than in things we can see and control. God cares more about our hearts and what we trust than the amount we give. Trust is something we practice through action, not just feeling, and our hearts follow where we put our treasure. Jesus warned against multiple forms of greed that turn our hearts inward instead of outward toward others. God doesn't want something from us—He wants something for us: deeper relationship, trust, and peace.
