The Golden Knights dropped their eighth overtime decision to the Ottawa Senators 4-3, this time in a shootout. Pavel Dorofeyev, Jack Eichel and Mitch Marner were all blanked in the shootout period. Shane Pinto scored the only shootout goal. The game marked the return of Mark Stone. He had some big hits and scored the equalizer in the third period. VGK got off to a poor start again and dropped its seventh consecutive overtime/shootout decision. These are trends that Bruce Cassidy wants to reverse.
