  • Episode 150: Not Launching the "Right" Offer
    Dec 8 2025

    Episode Summary

In this episode, I share why your digital product might not be selling, what it actually means when your audience doesn’t buy, and how offer–audience fit and launch strategy play a huge role in predictable results. I talk through a real example from an SEO School call, why templated launch protocols fall short, and how we approach individualized support inside LextroMind.

Plus: Thanksgiving travel, my bootcut-jeans saga, and a quick wrap-up of how Black Friday/Cyber Monday went.

    What I Chatted About:

    • My life update: Thanksgiving trip, wanting a quieter season at home, and the ridiculous bootcut-jeans tailoring saga
    • How Black Friday/Cyber Monday went in my business and why I'm so proud of the audit offers
    • Seeing sketchy things behind the scenes in the online business world and how I refocused on my own values
    • A question from an SEO School student frustrated that their course isn’t selling
    • Why audience readiness and audience interest matter when a product flops
    • Why creating something doesn’t guarantee sales, even if you think it’s a great product
    • How different people need different types of launches and different products based on their audience
    • Why LextroMind doesn’t run on a one-size-fits-all protocol and how tailoring increases the likelihood of a successful launch
    • Upcoming timing: LextroMind applications opening, my December break, and what's coming next

  • Episode 146: Now Is the Time to Think About Your Schedule and Offers for Next Year
    Nov 10 2025

    Episode Summary

In this episode, I’m talking about reflecting on what to carry into next year—in your business, your schedule, and your offers. As we approach the end of the year, it’s the perfect time to assess what’s working, what’s not, and what needs to shift before January hits. I share how I’ve been doing this in my own business (including why I decided to drop my quarterly SEO retainer) and how clinic owners and service providers can apply the same approach to their schedules and services. Whether it’s tightening appointment times, shifting how you book evaluations, or deciding what you want to stop offering, this episode will help you get proactive instead of reactive about your time and energy going into 2026.

[IMPORTANT]: The waitlist is open for The LextroMind! Applications will open in December. Join the waitlist!

Topics I Talk About in This Episode

    • The joy of being back to recording after a few weeks off
    • Celebrating Moose’s 4th birthday and what we did for her big day
    • Highlights from our trip to Hawaii — shaved ice, poke bowls, and honest thoughts about the travel
    • Updates on The LextroMind — now a 12-month container (applications open Dec 15–22), why we made it an application-based program and how we vet for fit and results, and why I’m proud of the depth and integrity behind The LextroMind
    • The main message of the episode: deciding what you do and don’t want to carry into next year
    • How I personally evaluated my own services and decided to retire my quarterly SEO retainer
    • The value of planning your 2025 schedule now so you can implement changes in January or February
    • Examples of how clinic owners can adjust their appointment types and time blocks
    • Why batching similar services (like evaluations or discovery calls) helps reduce burnout
    • How to communicate schedule or service changes to existing clients and patients
    • Encouragement to review everything you offer and decide if it stays, changes, or goes
    • The excitement that comes with implementing a new schedule that truly fits how you work best
    • A quick recap and reminder to join The LextroMind waitlist before applications open

  • Episode 145: What I Offer For My Payment Plans That Isn’t Traditional or “The Norm”
    Nov 3 2025

    Episode Summary

In this episode, I walk through exactly how I handle payment plans across my offers, why I do it this way, and how it has worked really well for both my clients and my business. I share where I don’t add fees, when I do, the risks I knowingly take on, and the values behind those choices. I also talk about how I structure discovery calls so you never feel pressured to make a big decision on the spot, and I give some quick guidance for in-person practices selling packages.

Topics I Talk About in This Episode

    • Why I offer up to four interest-free payments on my website builds and SEO services, and how that has played out in real life
    • Typical industry add-ons for payment plans (often 5–20 percent) vs what I do and why
    • When I do add a small fee: SEO School split payments (3 payments with ~5 percent total processing add-on through Kajabi)
    • How I think about risk, admin costs, and still choosing accessibility
    • Discovery call policy: no pressure to commit on Zoom, I send a proposal and encourage you to sit with it before deciding
    • “Skin in the game” without pushing people to overextend financially
    • Advice for clinics: for session packages, the practical “payment plan” is often pay-per-visit rather than financing packages
    • My pricing philosophy and why I keep certain services more accessible, even if the industry would price them higher
    • Gratitude for the mentorship that shaped my approach and a quick personal life update at the end

  • Episode 144: How I Block Time In My Schedule and Protect My Time
    Oct 27 2025

    Episode Summary

I’m fiercely protective of my time, both work and personal, and in this episode I walk through the exact systems that let me run a solo business without burning out. I share how I use calendar blocks, structure with flexibility, call and deep-work days, and how I manage notifications so I can stay focused and responsive without being on all the time. You’ll hear how I prioritize current clients over new ones, why I batch similar tasks, and the simple tools I rely on to keep my week calm, predictable, and flexible.

Topics I Talk About in This Episode

    • Why I’m intensely protective of my time as a solo operator
    • My core schedule: 10–4, Monday through Thursday, with Fridays clear
    • What “structure within flexibility” looks like in my day-to-day
    • Time-blocking everything in Google Calendar (color-coded and planned months ahead)
    • Task batching: Monday/Wednesday = backend work, Tuesday/Thursday = calls (plus “Do It In A Day” blocks)
    • Separating new-client and current-client availability so my existing clients always have first pick
    • Keeping tools simple: Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets instead of big project systems
    • Managing notifications and focus modes on my phone to cut distractions
    • Email boundaries: I’ll write messages on weekends but schedule them to send during business hours
    • A clinic/PT example for how to batch energy-heavy tasks like evals and follow-ups
    • The privilege and reality of being fully solo with a supportive partner and pets
    • The reminder that if something matters, you have to block time for it

  • Episode 143: Time Management and Creativity Hacks
    Oct 20 2025

    Episode Summary

I share a simple way I get more done without burning out: I use Parkinson’s Law on purpose—setting short, clear time boxes so the work fits the window—and I protect my focus while I’m in that window. I also talk about why creative work needs boredom first (so “hacks” don’t help unless I’ve made space), give personal and business updates (Toronto/Niagara-on-the-Lake wedding, seeing Sarah Eby and Emma Jack, booking Switzerland round two, my December/January time off, and SEO School wins), and I shout out a few focus tools I love that make it all easier.

Topics I Talk About in This Episode

    • Quick personal catch-up: wedding weekend outside Toronto/Niagara-on-the-Lake; dinner with Sarah Eby and Emma Jack; feeling lucky about smooth flights.
    • Switzerland, round two: deciding to go back for volleyball, VRBO hunt, landing a great location but fewer bedrooms (hello, couch), planning to fly Shanté’s brother out again to watch Moose and Rupert.
    • Travel season stacking up: another wedding soon, Thanksgiving, early-December trips.
    • Calendar + capacity: roughing in my 2026 schedule, choosing time off (last two weeks of December + first week of January), why those three weeks let me rest and work on my own business.
    • Business update: SEO School momentum... great questions in the community, hardcopy workbooks arriving (I’m obsessed), small future edits; needing to jump into Acuity to close remaining availability so my plate stays sane.
    • Creativity needs boredom: the reminder that creative/planning work often requires white space first; forcing it rarely works (I even walked away and came back the next day to record).
    • The actual tactic: Parkinson’s Law; work expands to fill the time you give it, so I use tight, specific blocks (e.g., 1:00–2:00 pm) instead of “Saturday afternoon.”
    • Where I apply it: checklist-style tasks (email “power hour,” sales-page edits, batch replies), not always heavy creative.
    • Guardrails that make it work: one task per block, no task-switching, decide to focus.
      Tools I use:
      • Flow on my Mac to run 30–90 minute focus timers with short breaks.
      • Focus Friend on my phone (the knitting-socks bean that buys cute room decor; adorable and motivating).
      • Brick to physically lock down distracting apps when needed (I don't use this YET).
    • Flexible sprinting: sometimes it’s 15-minute sprints with 5-minute breaks; experiment and learn how long your tasks actually take.
Perspective on “getting so much done”: capacity, supportive/independent partner, no kids, eight years of knowing my own limits, and a strong value for being done by 4:00 pm so I can have a life.

    Links Mentioned

    • Flow (Mac focus timer app).
    • Focus Friend (phone focus app with the knitting-socks bean).
    • Brick (app + physical “brick” to block phone apps).
