This podcast is hosted by the women’s ministry of Harvest Bible Church in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Our mission is to glorify God by making Him known to a culture that’s been turned upside down. We have a passion to begin bringing biblical reform to womanhood, by helping women think Christianly in all seasons of life. We break down current trends and seek to bring biblical clarity to those challenges. Above all, Our prayer is that this podcast will help women know God and worship God, resulting in transformed hearts and minds.
And we all with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is spirit. (2 Corinthians 3:18)Copyright 2020 All rights reserved.

  • Ep 107: Freedom from Shame
    Nov 24 2025

The topic of shame is a heavy one, and one that we probably don't talk about extensively, often enough. Those who are followers of Christ, need not walk in shame, but we know that many still do. We trust that God will use this episode to bring healing and freedom to anyone who is still stuck in shame. Follow along as we discuss these questions:

    1. What does the bible say about shame?
    2. Is shame the same as feeling convicted about something or is it an inappropriate feeling? Is conviction different than condemnation ?
    3. What can unresolved shame result in?
    4. How should we resolve shame from the past?
    5. I think there are a lot of Christian women who feel shame about their current life. Maybe they are a stay at home wife or mother and feel like they should be doing more to contribute financially, or maybe they feel that they should stay home more. Maybe they feel like they are not living up to their calling as a Christian wife or as mature in their faith as they “should” be. What would you say to those women who currently feel ashamed?

    6. How can we truly resolve the shame that we experience?

  • Ep 106: Why Biblical Counselling?
    Nov 13 2025

It's a longer episode because Sandi had a lot of questions!

    1. We mention every episode that you are a biblical counsellor. Can you describe what that is.
    2. What are the main differences between secular psychology and biblical counselling?
    3. Why is worldview important in a counselling room?
    4. What about seeing a psychologist who is a Christian? Is that the same thing?
    5. Does biblical counselling use behaviour sciences or modern psychology?

    6. Where does medication play a role or even a medical professional?

    7. What is needed for successful biblical counselling?
    8. What are the main limitations of this type of counselling?
    9. What are the main goals of biblical counselling? How long does it counselling take?
    10. When do you know that someone has completed their counselling time with you?
    11. Is anyone ever too far gone for biblical counselling?
    12. Do you think there are safeguards or practices we can put into place now that will help us deal with matters of the soul as they come up?
