I love listening to Paul and Amy really dig into movies. I recently discovered the podcast and am now about 50 episodes in. I was truly excited that they continued beyond the AFI 100 and can't wait to see how the format changes. They are somewhat pedantic at times and get on their soapboxes but, honestly, that's what I come for. A discussion with friends about movies, not something sterile and bland. I want crazy opinions and weird thoughts and tangents connecting to other movies. Even the silly suppositions and rumors and conspiracy theories about old Hollywood.

Paul and Amy break it down

Overly long, very slow starts so expect to skip a bunch before they actually get to talking about the films. Tried a few, last one I had to skip about 17 minutes before they really talked about the film.

Expected analysis, break downs, or something other than them just a lot of them saying "oh I liked this part".

Their "takes" come off as very amateurish which is weird because I know they know a lot about film. It's just weird when they say something that makes you wonder if they even saw the film.

Total meh.
