With all the scrutiny surrounding the Supreme Court lately Rick welcomes author of Nine Black Robes, Joan Biskupic, to the podcast. Joan is a legal analyst for CNN, has covered the courts for over thirty years and has written several books about the Supreme Court and Justices. They discuss the controversy surrounding Justice Clarence Thomas. They also discuss other Justices in depth and touch on the eroding confidence in the highest court of our country. Under the robes

Biscupic is the author of a book about the current condition and disposition of judicial members of the SCOTUS. I am happy to have the recommendation for some thoughtful work on this topic. If any body will be successful in burning it all down this court is it. I haven’t read her book yet but I expect to find some insight which I think we all need if democracy is to stand a chance against anti-democracy special interests in America.
