Bringing Hope, driven by science. Isabelle Amigues, MD, is a physician scientist with a speciality in rheumatology. She has trained both in Paris, France as well as Columbia University, in New York City. At age 40, in the midst of an existential crisis, she was diagnosed with stage IV metastatic breast cancer. A timely meeting with a non-traditionally trained practitioner taught her a different approach to disease. She experienced the power of meditation, visualization, energy healing and love. Her journey through cancer inspired her to learn more about these alternative approaches, and now that she has studied many of them she has integrated them into her own practice of medicine. Dr. Amigues is the author of multiple book chapters and scientific articles in rheumatology. She is the founder and CEO of UnabridgedMD.

  • Why Early Treatment in Rheumatoid Arthritis Matters
    Apr 8 2026

If you have rheumatoid arthritis, you should NOT be stuck suffering for months without a plan.

In this live, Dr. Amigues explains:
    • Why early treatment in rheumatoid arthritis matters
    • Why you don’t have to “just tolerate” methotrexate side effects
    • What true remission actually means
    • Why steroids are NOT remission
    • When to switch medications
    • How biologics and DMARDs should be adjusted
    • The real problem with insurance-based time limits

    Too many patients:
    – Stay on medications they can’t tolerate
    – Stay on prednisone long-term
    – Never get a clear remission strategy
    – Don’t understand how to taper safely

The goal in rheumatoid arthritis is FULL remission or minimal disease activity, without steroids.

    You deserve:
    ✔ A clear treatment roadmap
✔ A plan to reduce medications safely
    ✔ Time with your rheumatologist
    ✔ Real conversations about options

Early, aggressive, and strategic care prevents joint damage, cardiovascular risk, and long-term complications.

Remission is possible but you need the right plan.

  • Insurance Is Quietly Destroying Real Medicine
    Apr 2 2026

What happens when a rheumatologist and a naturopathic doctor sit down to talk about women’s health, hormones, autoimmunity, and the broken insurance model?

In this powerful conversation, Dr. Isabelle Amigues, rheumatologist and founder of direct specialty care in Colorado, sits down with Dr. Erin Ellis, naturopathic doctor specializing in women’s health, to discuss:

    • What “root cause” really means
    • Why so many women feel dismissed in medicine
    • Perimenopause and hormone imbalances
    • Why “normal labs” don’t always mean optimal health
    • The problem with 10-minute visits
    • Insurance denials and the emotional toll on patients
    • Integrative medicine vs conventional medicine
    • Direct care and relationship-based healing
    • Reactive arthritis treatment insights

This conversation is honest, nuanced, and deeply patient-centered. It’s not about choosing sides — it’s about integration, education, and empowering women to advocate for their health.

If you’ve ever been told “your labs are normal” but you don’t feel normal — this is for you.

  • What Doctors Don’t Tell You About Healing Beyond Diagnosis
    Mar 26 2026

✔️What if your diagnosis isn’t your identity?

In this powerful conversation, a rheumatologist and a holistic health expert dive deep into the truth about chronic illness, healing, and why your symptoms are signals, not definitions of who you are.

Too often, we’re taught to see lab results and diagnoses as permanent labels. But what if they’re actually data points guiding you toward healing?

    In this video, we explore:
✨ Why your body is NOT broken
✨ The difference between symptoms and identity
✨ How beliefs about your diagnosis can shape your healing
✨ The connection between the nervous system, inflammation, and chronic illness
✨ Why medicine alone isn’t always enough
✨ How to approach healing from a holistic, root-cause perspective

Whether you’re dealing with autoimmune disease, chronic pain, or unexplained symptoms, this conversation will help you shift your mindset, understand your body differently, and discover new possibilities for healing.

💡 Remember: Your diagnosis is not your prognosis.

    Who this is for:
✔️ People with autoimmune conditions (like rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, psoriatic arthritis)
✔️ Anyone struggling with chronic illness or chronic pain
✔️ Those feeling stuck, dismissed, or defined by their diagnosis
✔️ Anyone interested in holistic, integrative, and mind-body healing
