honestly, as a fan I watched this episode and was like they're going to spend 5 minutes on a sex scene when they haven't tied together all these things I was kind of mad.

but all of that being said, twin peaks very often skirts the edge of Jack Parson's work and I believe Jack Parsons was big on sex magic. I think we saw an example of that with the glass box and I think we're seeing another example of that with Diane and Cooper. that's why everything is so different after it happens
