Today on the podcast, I’m joined by Meghann Dawson — a trauma-informed coach, speaker, and podcast host whose story is a powerful reminder that healing is not linear and that joy is possible, even after deep pain.

Meghann spent over two decades as a leader and strategist in the credit union industry before following her calling to empower women who’ve experienced chronic trauma. She now supports others in turning their pain into authentic power through coaching, group programs, and her brand-new podcast Becoming is Messy.

Her own journey includes overcoming a traumatic birth, family violence, sexual abuse, infertility, and a lifelong relationship with physical pain. But she’s done the deep work — integrating spiritual practices, self-development, and healing modalities — and now lives a life filled with peace, purpose, and joy.

She calls Madison, Wisconsin home with her husband, three teenagers, and goldendoodle Luna — and she still proudly claims her Jersey roots. Meghann’s love language might just be experiences — whether it’s curating memory-making vacations, hosting cozy girlfriend sleepovers, or scoring third-row Adele seats (yes, Adele spoke to her).
