  • As the Crow Flies(Kuş Uçuşu): Season 3, Episode 8 Recap
    Sep 15 2025

It's the series finale (confirmed: Netflix canceled it, we’re grieving), and while we didn’t get the resolution we wanted, we did get chaos, fainting, mafia vibes, and a wine-drenched phone. What more could we ask for? Oh right…Yusuf and Aslı together.

    In this episode:

    • Kenan finally admits he's toxic and Lale says “no, it’s just love” in the most frustrating anti-growth moment of the series.
    • Lale and Kenan consider fleeing to the Aegean Sea to start an olive oil business???
    • Aslı wakes up at Yusuf’s, gets grilled by Güliz over the phone. Aslı uses his twine-wrapped gift ribbon as a hair tie.
    • Güliz spots the hair tie, connects all the dots, and officially loses it.
    • Nunu returns to Team Lale, proving yet again he’s the most loyal man in Turkish television.
    • Güliz and Aslı engage in a literal car chase that ends in a crash, a confrontation in the street, and Güliz fainting like a Victorian debutante.
    • Güliz’s mafia-adjacent dad assembles 12 men to sue and “destroy” Aslı and Yusuf.
    • Aslı, realizing she’s doomed, writes Yusuf a goodbye letter and dunks her phone in wine in the most dramatic exit imaginable.
    • Yusuf—still madly in love—gets a sticker for his notebook that says “I won’t apologize.” A true icon.
    • Müge’s hair falls out. She quits in a robe and slippers. A stunning end to her arc.
    • Lale gives her final news show with Nunu giving a goodbye monologue worthy of an Oscar.
    • Yusuf ends up working at Turkish TMZ. Aslı as his phone wallpaper. Sad.
    • Lale becomes a speaker or maybe a professor? A woman gives her a mysterious phone number. (It’s giving Season 4 setup. Thanks for nothing, Netflix.)
    • In the final scene, Lale finds Aslı and says, “It’s time to fight.”

We’re still mad about the cancellation but grateful for three seasons of pure Turkish chaos.

  • As the Crow Flies(Kuş Uçuşu): Season 3, Episode 7 Recap
    Sep 10 2025

The writers might have packed up early, but we’re still here. Somehow everything is spiraling while also stalling. It's a weird combination of filler scenes, heavy trauma drops, sudden baldness, and questionable professional decisions. Let’s get into it.

    In this episode:

    • Lale opens the episode dancing and yawning on a balcony, which sets the tone. Zero context. Big filler energy.
    • She and Aslı are working on a global story, which turns out to be about the emotional aftermath of the pandemic. Not exactly breaking news in 2025, but sure.
    • Müge spends half the episode staring at a whiskey bottle.
    • Müge stares at a billboard of herself, then sees Aslı's right next to it. Apparently in this show, a new anchor means a billboard goes up within 45 minutes. Those printers work overtime.
    • We are suddenly hit with Lale's long-lost backstory about getting grazed by a bullet in Iraq. Never mentioned before, now dropped like a live grenade. It’s giving end-of-series character dump.
    • Müge’s hair starts falling out in giant clumps. She goes from mildly stressed to near-bald in one episode. We are not exaggerating. There are closeups of hair in tissues and eyeliner being used to cover bald patches. Drama is on the scalp now.
    • Kenan sees Müge and says, “What are those bags under your eyes,” followed shortly by a comment on her hair.
    • We are still waiting for Yusuf and Asli to reappear and get it on.
    • Kenan is seething while watching Lale's segment from his own studio. Then he plays basketball alone because there was no budget for extras and no friends willing to shoot hoops with this man.
    • Finally, Yusuf and Aslı are seen cuddling in bed, eating strawberries, and being adorable.
    • Meanwhile, Müge is sobbing on the floor, clutching her hair, until she finds out she is trending number one. She screams with joy, still crying, hair still in hand. Peak emotional whiplash.
    • Back at work, Kenan remains a human red flag. Müge is finally being celebrated, but Gül low-key torments her by picking hair off her jacket like she’s collecting evidence.
    • Aslı and Lale argue on air about generational values. Aslı plays the brash Gen Z, Lale plays the dignified Gen X. Aslı wants to be “watchable,” Lale wants to be “respected.” They fight, but the ratings go up. Aslı wins the point. Lale sulks with poise.
    • Müge is back in the makeup chair. There’s not much hair left to style. They’re basically coloring her scalp with eyeliner like it’s a Crayola emergency.
    • Kenan reveals his next evil plan: invite Lale onto Müge’s show to ambush her with questions that expose she may have lied about being shot in Iraq. Because what else do toxic exes do in this show besides public takedowns?
    • Lale accepts the invite. Gül thinks she’s being diplomatic. Turns out she’s playing her own game.
    • Surprise twist. Lale just wanted to poach Nunu. All of this could have been solved with a text, but apparently televised sabotage was the preferred method.
    • Kenan finds out and is furious. Müge finally sees him clearly and tells him he is not Lale’s strength, he is her personal hell. If anyone deserves a slow clap this episode, it’s Müge for that line.
    • Final scene: Kenan shows up at Lale’s door. She looks stunned. We look concerned.

Three seasons of tension and trauma are converging. One episode left.

If you’re still with us, congratulations. You deserve a billboard. Preferably one designed and printed within 20 minutes. See you in the finale.

  • As the Crow Flies(Kuş Uçuşu): Season 3, Episode 6 Recap
    Sep 7 2025

Things are picking up steam. Everyone is spiraling. Lale’s still pretending she’s going to France. Kenan is out here auditioning for a Lifetime movie. And we finally get the love declaration we’ve waited three seasons for. The only thing missing? Nepo News Baby with a printout of Yusuf’s DMs.

    In this episode:

    • Müge nails her first newscast, gets applause, and promptly demands a private bathroom.
    • Kenan storms off in a pout because Müge succeeded. As if her success invalidates his tragic beige sweater energy.
    • Gül smokes with Kenan and tells him Müge is going to screw them. Kenan responds with the emotional depth of a confused lamp.
    • Lale packs boxes, stares at Kenan’s leftover razor, and frowns at old fridge photos. Big sad divorce apartment vibes.
    • Müge beats Lale in the ratings. Champagne is popped. Kenan, again, pouts.
    • Asli gets a mission from Guliz: find out who Yusuf’s been banging, earn yourself a three-year contract. Messy, petty, on-brand.
    • Lale tries to do a dramatic “good mom” scene with her kids. Her daughter is not impressed. Nor are the loud strangers at the next table rehashing that old sex tape.
    • Speaking of, Emre is back. Not to apologize, just to get a poster and a new job. No consequences for men, as usual.
    • Asli visits Yusuf’s apartment. He cooks her steak. She spirals. He tells her to leave. We beg them to just kiss already. Instead, Asli assumes he’s in love with someone else. He is, actually. It’s her. But okay.
    • Lale and Asli meet at the usual restaurant. They smoke, they reflect, they act like they’re in a French art film. Lale admits she’s not moving.
    • Asli walks home drunk, stumbles into Yusuf’s place, and finally gets the romantic confession we’ve all been dying for. He loves her. It’s always been her. They cry, they hug, we sob.
    • Meanwhile, Kenan throws a tantrum and dramatically faints.
    • Guliz tries to welcome Lale back. Lale ignores her like she’s not technically her boss. Respectful workplace behavior? Who’s she?
    • Kenan recovers from his very fake heart attack and tells Gül it’s time to destroy Lale. Super healthy breakup energy.
    • Lale and Asli prep for their big newsroom comeback.
    • Everyone forgets Müge exists.

Just two episodes left. If you're not rooting for Yusuf and Asli at this point, you might be Kenan.

Until next time, if you enjoy this chaos, rate, review, or scream into a pillow. We’ll see you back at Turkish TV Obsessed.

  • As the Crow Flies(Kuş Uçuşu): Season 3, Episode 5 Recap
    Sep 3 2025

This episode gave us filler, fire, and full-on delusion. Somehow everything happened and nothing happened at the same time. Here's what went down.

    In this episode:

    • Lale casually plans to move to Nice with her ex-husband and kids, and forgets to tell Kenan. He finds out when he overhears her breaking her lease.
    • When confronted, Lale says the words no partner wants to hear during a breakup: “I’m a mother.” Kenan spirals. Their argument is a mess of guilt trips and dramatic exits.
    • Asli walks into work replaying the closet hookup with Yusuf. He sits in Gül’s office looking like a man who knows his sins are catching up to him.
    • Guliz is riding high on Lale’s departure and wants to toast to it. Yusuf is visibly uncomfortable. Asli is a masterclass in silence and side-eye.
    • Müge ditches her CEO job to become a news anchor. She has zero training, partied the night before, and barely knows how to use her computer. We are already counting down to her on-air disaster.
    • Guliz tries to seduce Yusuf with red wine, lingerie, and a Rolex. He thanks her. She breaks a wine glass and accuses him of cheating. He doesn’t deny it. Her fury is next-level.
    • The next morning, Yusuf is gone. Guliz smokes alone in her office and vows to take down “the other woman.” The newsroom interns start gossiping.
    • Asli might be in trouble. Or she might be getting a promotion. The tension is high and no one knows where the next slap will land.
    • Lale and Asli meet for a drink at separate tables. Asli calls Lale out for needing pain and stealing dreams. It is brutal and weirdly moving.
    • Müge makes her on-air debut. It’s awkward, stiff, and packed with fake confidence. She thinks she’s arrived. We think she’s going to crash.

Only a few episodes left. Betrayals are coming. Careers are about to implode. And someone is definitely getting revenge.

Thanks for listening, and we'll be back soon with another exciting episode recap!

  • As the Crow Flies(Kuş Uçuşu): Season 3, Episode 4 Recap
    Aug 31 2025

The mess is messing, y’all. We’re back and diving headfirst into the most chaotic episode of the season so far, complete with sex tape scandals, tantrums, corporate takedowns, and the steamiest “shut up and kiss me” hallway scene we’ve ever seen.

    This week we unpack:

    • The weirdest reveal ever: A 12-year-old girl is behind the viral sex tape rumors… for the followers?! (Law & Order SVU energy, but make it Turkish and unhinged.)
    • Lale’s rollercoaster of morals: “I won’t press charges… wait yes I will… wait no… now yes again.”
    • Yusuf and Asli’s newsroom angst hits maximum smolder. Yes, that locked door scene? WE SAW IT. Dark romance vibes, unlocked.
    • Nepo Baby’s unhinged spiral: from power broker to sobbing “why doesn’t he want me?” Real Housewives breakdown, newsroom edition.
    • The most WTF on-air monologue of all time. Lale basically says “maybe I did bang my co-anchor, and what?” and we’re left SCREAMING.
    • Müge pulls the plug, literally, and Lale? SMILES.

And when you think it’s over: Yusuf drags Asli into a locked room and we’re blessed with a desk-banging, angry-lust scene that made us forget every other plot point.

We’re screaming, sweating, and living for it.

  • As the Crow Flies(Kuş Uçuşu): Season 3, Episode 3 Recap
    Jul 6 2025

Buckle up, scandal lovers. Episode 3 brings us office whispers, viral rumors, an alleged sex tape, an unbothered Emre, and a CEO who’s Limewiring her way into HR violations. Let’s just say the sex tape might not be real—but the drama is.

    Lale’s Reputation? Ruined. Emre’s? Boosted.

The episode kicks off in scandal city. Everyone at the station thinks Lale made a sex tape with news bro Emre after she helped him during his blackout. Emre? THRIVING. He reads the comments praising his alleged conquest and just… smiles. Gross.

Instead of denying anything, he requests an extended leave. Classic coward move. Lale’s sobbing in her dressing room, worried about her daughters seeing the rumors, while Kenan is doing… the most. Threatening legal action. Vowing revenge. Spiraling.

Müge: CEO, Chaos Goblin, & Sex Tape Collector?

While the newsroom burns, Müge is laser-focused on one thing: getting her hands on the tape. Not salvaging the network’s reputation. Not supporting her team. She’s refreshing shady forums, clicking every malware ad, and DM’ing randos from her real account. Ma’am. You are the CEO.

    Also: isn’t this sexual harassment?

Guliz, Yusuf, and Aslı: The Love Triangle We Deserve

Our favorite trio is back—bickering, accusing, and dancing around secrets. Guliz thinks Aslı leaked the tape. Aslı accuses Yusuf. Yusuf says he loves Lale (?!). And then Aslı drops this iconic line:

“Everyone murders the one they love.”

Cue the suspicious stares, the BusBus callback, and the best petty exit from Guliz yet: “There is no tonight.”

    Lale’s Family Life Implodes

Lale visits her daughter Mila, who runs away in tears. The other daughter is heartbroken when Mila turns off the TV—because, let's be honest, it’s the only time they see their mom.

Selim (MIA this season, probably due to budget cuts) gets one offscreen phone call to confirm: Mila wants nothing to do with Lale.

The Drunk Girl Talk We Didn’t Know We Needed

In a rare moment of humanity, Aslı shows up at Lale’s apartment. Over a bottle of wine (okay, several), they talk Pilates, bad bosses, first loves, and heartbreak.

    Lale: “Love is rare.”

Aslı: “I had it. Still have it. Wish I didn’t.”

Cue silent tears and straight-from-the-bottle chugs.

This scene is pure gold. And yes, it’s still somehow more romantic than any Kenan moment.

    The Sex Tape Fallout

The ratings? SKY-HIGH. The fallout? Catastrophic. Lale doesn’t care about the fame—she cares about her daughter hating her.

Meanwhile, Yusuf pukes backstage. From nerves? Guilt? Or the mere thought of losing his job? TBD.

And just as Lale and Kenan get a call from the police confirming they found the culprit…

    CUT TO BLACK.

We don’t see who it is. But you won’t have to wait long. Episode 4 brings the reveal.

  • As the Crow Flies(Kuş Uçuşu): Season 3, Episode 2 Recap
    Jul 6 2025

The claws are out, the tension is thick, and we’re already down bad for Yusuf in glasses. Season 3, Episode 2 of As the Crow Flies is messy in the best possible way—and yes, we finally get the scene that ties back to last season’s cliffhanger sex tape scandal. Buckle up, babes.

Lale’s “I’m Out” Moment Gets Hijacked by Gul the Mastermind

After the Season 3 opener bombshell—Müge is CEO now?!—Lale storms out, declaring she’s out. Honestly? Valid. But Gul isn’t ready to let her golden goose go. She lures Lale and Kenan into a coffee date full of manipulation, power plays, and just enough flattery to get Lale thinking.

Cue Gul: “Aren’t you curious how Müge got this job? Doesn’t it deserve… investigation?” 🕵️‍♀️ Ma’am, you’re diabolical and we love it.

Flash Forward to the Network Party from Hell

Back at Müge’s party, everyone is asking the same question: Where’s Lale? Müge is seething. Emre, the daytime anchor with frat-boy energy, is flirting-slash-negging her while probably still high from the night before.

When Lale finally shows up, she’s a rock star. Everyone wants a photo. Everyone ignores Müge. Even Nunu fanboys. Emre casually drops “Aren’t you sick of Kenan yet?” in front of the whole room. The answer is yes we are, Emre. The answer is always yes.

Meanwhile, in the Love Triangle We Actually Care About…

Yusuf and Nepo News Baby Guliz are in bed—post-shower, towel drop, sex eyes—but Yusuf is more interested in Lale’s press release than Guliz. She accuses him of sleeping with Lale. WRONG GUESS, GIRL.

Then we’re hit with THE SCENE™: Aslı shows up at Yusuf’s door demanding answers. “Why did you bring me back to the network?” she asks. He plays it cool: “I need you… professionally.” Mhmmm, suuuuure.

Their entire conversation is just sex disguised as logistics. “We need to work better together.” “Should we meet at your place?” “I guess you’re not drinking?” They’re not even trying to be subtle.

The Office Bros & the Ratings War

Emre shows up to work reeking of booze and regret. Kenan and Lale are disgusted. Gul tries to act like she’s doing CEO damage control, but really she’s spinning lies faster than Müge can ask for a coverage report.

Speaking of coverage reports: Lale refuses to hand hers over. “If Müge doesn’t like it, she can fire me.” ICON.

    Yusuf + Glasses + Tension = Everything

Yusuf is wearing his hot glasses and owning the newsroom while Aslı silently breaks down in the corner. She follows him home, confronts him again, and he delivers the worst line possible: “We just hooked up sometimes.”

Sir. You lived with her. You loved her. You stared at her for two seasons like she hung the moon. Be serious.

But Don’t Worry—Yusuf Gets Even Shadier Later

He invites Aslı over for a “work meeting” at his apartment, only for her to walk in on Guliz wearing nothing but his shirt. Her face? Devastated. Our hearts? Shattered. The tension? THICK.

Meanwhile, Emre Is Unconscious & Shirtless Somewhere

Turns out Emre partied too hard with two college girls. They find him unconscious and—using his finger to unlock his phone—call the last person he spoke to: Kenan. Except Kenan’s passed out like a baby on Lale’s couch, so Lale answers and goes to the hotel alone (why?!), only to be caught by paparazzi.

Cliffhanger We All Knew Was Coming

This explains the infamous sex tape scandal tease from Season 2’s finale: Lale wasn’t in a sex tape. She was caught on camera leaving a hotel room with a half-naked news bro.

Now the internet is running wild with sex tape rumors, and the board is asking questions. But we’re just wondering when Aslı and Yusuf are going to finally bang again.

  • As the Crow Flies(Kuş Uçuşu): Season 3, Episode 1 Recap
    Jul 6 2025

Season 3 kicks off strong with corporate chaos, public breakdowns, surprise power grabs, and the juiciest love triangle this show has ever served us. The Peach Shirt is (blessedly) retired—for now—and in its place we get something far better:

    Yusuf Cracks On Air

Our boy Yusuf finally gets the anchor seat… and immediately collapses under pressure. We open with him pacing outside the studio, rolling a cigarette and sweating bullets before literally collapsing behind the desk. Is it a heart attack? Seizure? Nope. Just a panic attack, which Kenan, of course, mocks later. Compassion? Kenan never heard of it.

Lale’s Soft Launch into Influencer Era

Meanwhile, Lale is living her best DIY journalism life. No network. No dress code. Just vibes. Kenan, naturally, hates this and tries to convince her to shut it all down. His argument? “It’s a tiny channel.” The way he says it like she’s running a WordPress blog in 2008 and not building a personal empire.

Nepo Baby and the Love Triangle Nobody’s Ready For

Guliz (Nepo Baby News Queen) rushes to Yusuf’s hospital bedside and kisses him tenderly, confirming what we feared: they’re not just dating—they’re serious. As in, engagement-ring-level serious. And oh yeah, Guliz wants Aslı to return as co-anchor… because her boyfriend requested it. This is soap opera energy. Inject it.

    Aslı’s Comeback (and Instant Regret)

Aslı, sensing an opportunity and clearly still into Yusuf, agrees to return to her old job. But it’s not the triumphant welcome she imagined. Her old coworkers barely look at her, her name is left off meeting invites, and the only person excited to see her is the assistant she promptly fires.

To make it worse, Yusuf won’t even look at her. Not when she walks in. Not during rehearsal. Not even when they go live. He waits until the cameras roll to turn, flash a polite smile, and introduce her. The tension? Immaculate.

Lale & Aslı: Frenemies to Friends (?)

Lale keeps showing up at Aslı’s favorite bar, smiling like she’s not talking to the woman who literally tried to ruin her life. Aslı pokes at her to take the fancy new job she’s being offered, just so they can battle on-screen again. Their weird “are we rivals or girlfriends” energy is back and honestly? We missed it.

Lale Accepts the New Job (and Muge Is the Boss?!)

Just when it seems like Lale is choosing peace and content creation, she agrees to do one last round in mainstream media—with Kenan as her partner. But there’s a twist: the CEO of the station isn’t some faceless suit. It’s Müge. Yep.

    Cue the gasp.

Next episode? More angst. More chaos. Turkish TV is officially back.
