  • Short Film Review: Don't Try - Let Go
    Sep 19 2025

If you are listening to this review on the Sabbath, then I would like to wish you a Sabbath full of the knowledge that God is for you, not against you.

This week’s review is for a short Christian film called, Don’t Try - Let Go, by Joshua Buraimoh.

    Description

This short film shows the daily life of a man’s walk with Christ, who is relying on his own power, rather than that from God to continue His walk as a disciple of Jesus Christ. We see the consequences of relying on his own strength and the answer he is given, through prayer.

    Scripture References

Psalm 119:105 (the Word of God)

1 Peter 5:8 (beware of the devil)

    Luke 18:1 (prayer)

    Philippians 2:13 (God's Will)

Jeremiah 29:11-14 (God's plan for His children)

  • Review: Life Explored Series -The Joyful God (Ep7)
    Sep 12 2025

If you are listening to this review on the Sabbath, then I would like to wish you a Sabbath full of the knowledge that God is merciful and faithful, at all times. You can find that promise in Lamentations 3:22-23.

This week’s review is for the series, Life Explored, which is a seven part series. This episode is called, The Joyful God.

    Description

An exposé of the little gods that promise us so much happiness, yet deliver so little. As it explores the Bible story (creation, fall, redemption, new creation), Life Explored shows how our deepest desires for happiness can only be satisfied in one person, Jesus Christ. The best gift God can give us is Himself.

This is the seventh and last episode in this series and it’s all about where we truly belong. Earth is a temporary place for us, heaven is our home.

    Scripture References

Revelation 21-22 (new heaven, new Earth)

Titus 1:1-3 - God cannot lie

John 14:1-4 - Jesus has prepared our new home for us
