On April 25, 2010, a panic-stricken 25-year-old Heidi Firkus called 911 to report a break-in in her and her husband Nick’s home. That’s when there was a gunshot and screaming. After this, Nick re-dialed 911, screaming that he and Heidi were shot by this intruder. After first responders arrived, Heidi was already dead at the scene, and Firkus was acting strange with police in re-telling his story. Time went on and Firkus remarried… but his second wife found out about the financial problems he was secretly having, and how similar their situation was becoming to his financial situation with his first wife, whose death still had not found any justice. She knew that something was wrong, and that Nick was at the center of it.

Reagan Tokes was a 21-year-old college student about to graduate when she was abducted and killed one night. On December 2, 2019, 43-year-old Christine Holloway was found dead in her home, her young baby Vanessa missing. Her boyfriend, 48-year-old Jose Morales was immediately under suspicion, as he was high, unhelpful with police, and just generally unconcerned for his dead girlfriend and missing baby. Further questioning and investigation led police to charging Morales with beating Christine to death and trying to clean the crime scene afterwards. Vanessa is still missing to this day.

On December 16, 2022, 32-year-old nurse Alex Pennig had been found dead in her bathroom at home, victim to an allegedly self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. But there were some serious inconsistencies with how she would have shot herself using her non-dominant hand, and why her hands were completely clean.
