Real talk. Let's address the elephant in the room to the growing "sickness" in our society, address root issues and provide sustainable solutions. We hope by addressing the intersectionality and connect the dots like a web of many of society’s challenges, we can help others understand the trauma infection that impacts all areas of life – addiction, domestic violence, racism, homelessness, sexual abuse, chronic health issues, cancer, environmental issues, climate change and more. In this NEW collaborative program, we hope by highlighting these infected areas and what they share in common, a new perspective of solutions, healing, and resolutions can be birthed. Each episode addresses a certain trigger while offering the spiritual medicine with at least 3 tips or actionable steps our listeners can take and implement. Vision: To break the unrecognized endemic of unresolved unhealed trauma & create sustainable systems for recovery, healing & empowerment. Mission: To help others rediscover the power that lies within and to find that treasure buried in the depths of the shadows. To help them become their own superhero. • Accessing the Inner Wise Woman
    Apr 6 2026

In this episode of Triggers in Spiritual Medicine, host Laura Bonetzky-Gaffney explores the powerful theme of Remembering the Inner Wise Woman.

Across generations, the intuitive wisdom and leadership of women has often been silenced, persecuted, or erased through systems of control and historical trauma. From the persecution of healers during the European witch hunts, to institutions like the Magdalene Laundries in Ireland, to the suppression of Indigenous spiritual traditions through European colonization of the Americas, the echoes of these events still live in our collective and ancestral memory.

In this deeply reflective episode, Laura invites listeners to explore how these histories have shaped the way many women relate to their intuition, voice, and spiritual authority today.

Through guided questions and storytelling, she encourages listeners to reconnect with the ancient wisdom carried within their bodies, lineage, and lived experiences.

Listeners are invited to explore three ways to reconnect with the Inner Wise Woman:
    • Listening to the wisdom of the body
    • Reconnecting with ancestral knowledge and lineage
    • Creating space for silence, stillness, and deep inner listening
The episode also includes a guided drum meditation designed to help listeners quiet the thinking mind and connect with the deeper voice of the Inner Wise Woman within.

Laura concludes with an invitation for those who feel called to continue this exploration in community.

She will be presenting further on this topic at the Inspired Life! Women’s Weekend of Love, Light & Laughter in Quincy on April 11–12, where participants will have an opportunity to go deeper into the work of reclaiming feminine wisdom, spiritual sovereignty, and ancestral remembering.

This episode is an invitation to reflect on a powerful question:
What if the wisdom you have been searching for has been within you—and within your ancestral line—all along?

  • Making Your Life A Living Prayer
    Mar 2 2026

What does it mean to make your life a living prayer?

In this deeply layered conversation, Laura welcomes Rosanne Romiglio-Ashley, author, artist, and spiritual teacher who writes under the ancestral name of her great great grandmother, Marie Dion. Together they explore what it means to walk between worlds with integrity, to bridge the seen and unseen, and to reclaim the wisdom of lineage without appropriation.

Rosanne shares her journey of reconnecting with her Indigenous heritage, being called by her ancestors, and honoring her family’s survival story. She speaks openly about ancestral guidance, the responsibility that comes with spiritual gifts, and the ripple effect of healing across generations.

The conversation weaves through prayer as gratitude rather than petition, cultural conditioning around spirituality, and the courage required to live in alignment with spirit. Rosanne recounts the ten year journey of returning a sacred pipe to its rightful home in the Black Hills, an experience that became the foundation of her book What’s Sacred.

Laura and Rosanne also discuss alternative healing paths, overcoming trauma, navigating triggers, and the importance of reconnecting with one’s own cultural roots rather than appropriating another’s traditions.

They explore the concept of life review, personal accountability, and how everyday choices shape both personal and collective healing.

This episode is a call back to simplicity.

    Journaling by hand.

    Practicing gratitude.

    Listening for ancestral whispers.

    Living with integrity.

Because meaningful spiritual growth does not come from grand gestures. It comes from consistent, courageous presence.

Rosanne will be sharing more of her teachings at Healing with Spirit Studio in Hingham on March 28th, including insights from What’s Sacred and Make Your Life a Living Prayer.

This is a conversation about remembrance.

    About responsibility.

    About reconciliation.

    About love.

And about making your life the prayer itself.

  • Digging For Mother's Bones
    Feb 3 2026

In this February episode of Triggers in Spiritual Medicine, Laura is joined by mystic, author, and embodied truth teller Coco Oya for a conversation that moves far beyond surface level spirituality and into the bones of real healing.

Together, Laura and Coco Oya explore what happens when women’s circles stop bypassing discomfort and begin addressing the deeper ancestral, racial, maternal, and embodied wounds that live in the body. Drawing from Coco Oya’s powerful book Digging for Mother’s Bones, the conversation invites listeners to reconnect with the wisdom of the body, the womb, and the feminine creative force that has been suppressed, misunderstood, or diluted into “love and light” spirituality.

Coco Oya shares her journey from being a self described non feeler to fully embodying feminine power after a near death experience, and how that initiation revealed the collective mother wound that so many carry, often unconsciously. Laura and Coco Oya speak candidly about what it means to move from a mindset of being broken or needing to be fixed into remembering our inherent wholeness.

This episode weaves together embodiment, ancestral healing, racial truth telling, and the necessity of moving beyond band aid approaches to healing. They reflect on the discomfort that arises when spiritual spaces avoid hard conversations, and why true sisterhood requires honesty, accountability, and a willingness to feel what lives in the body rather than label or bypass it.
They also explore the balance between feminine and masculine energies, with women as alchemizers of energy and men as guardians of land and life, and how both are needed to restore harmony. The conversation touches on current global turbulence, bodily symptoms during times of rapid energetic change, and why trusting the body’s intelligence is essential as humanity moves through this pivotal threshold.

As always, this episode offers reflection, truth, and practical spiritual medicine, inviting listeners to turn triggers into transformation and remember the wisdom they already carry.

Links to Coco Oya’s book Digging for Mother’s Bones and her upcoming women’s gathering and meditation space are included in the show notes.

The interviewer constantly interrupted her guest and took the conversation off on a tangent. This is unfortunate because Dr. Taylor was an excellent source of information - if she could just be given the chance to speak.
