The Age Of MAUL approaches!

With the epic image of the Lucasfilm logo being skewered by Maul's lightsaber, we have been blessed with a new trailer for MAUL – SHADOW LORD! We might be a week late, but with MAUL arriving in two weeks, our excitement for this new animated series remains off-the-charts!

We discuss this exciting trailer, especially how to make a character infamously known for his lack of growth and commitment to revenge compelling as a series protagonist. With new characters like Captain Brander Lawson (played by recent Oscar nominee Wagner Moura), and Jedi Padawan Devon Izara, Maul might have the contrasts needed to affect change (or chaos) to those around him.

In a recent interview, Dave Filoni mentioned how he and George Lucas routinely discussed possibilities for Maul's character. Does this mean we might see some of George's original plans for Episode VII reinterpreted in some way in this series?
