IN POLITICAL NEWS 1) President Trump announced the first of numerous big tariff deals with Mediocre Britain, and that the 10% tariff would remain. The world better get used to this. A 10% tariff is the baseline, the vig, for doing business with the U.S. It will soon be our income once the income tax is replaced. As Jeff Childers points out in his "Coffee and Covid," the unscrupulous Wall Street Journal may be starting a pivot on the tariff. Meanwhile this has allowed Trump to cut all non-defense spending in his new budget: "a step forward" says former conservative congressman Thaddeus McCotter. 2) Senator John Fetterman apparently cut loose on a rant---"Why does everybody hate me? What did I ever do?"---in a meeting with the teacher's union. Fetterman Massacre, listen to me bro. You ARE NOT WELCOME in the DemoKKKrat Party if you have ANY of these positions: You support Israel, you support human life, and you actually like America. He has gotten bad polling news in his attempt to hold his seat. We'll see. I think he's ok. 3) Two big announcements from Pam Bondi on Wednesday afternoon. First, the FBI has arrested 200 child predators., which, it is clear, is just the start. Second, she laid to rest notions advanced by Congressman James Comer that the Epstein evidence was destroyed. Quite the contrary she said, they have so much of it it's taking an enormous amount of time to go through. As I suspected and have argued, the FBI has "tens of thousands of videos" in which they need to scour to remove and redact any images of kids or minors. Jeff Childers notes that if foreign pols are on the tapes, revealing their names now in the midst of tariff negotiations would result in a wave of demands for immunity tied to the economic plan. Or, as he calls it, a "hopelessly complicated plate of competing incentive spaghetti." Meanwhile the Trump administration released 60,000 pages of Robert F. Kennedy documents. And DOGE has deactivated over 500,000 gubment credit cards. 4) Seth Keshel lays out the four types of soverignty that are absolutely essential going forward. 5) After being forced to withdraw Ed Martin's name for US Attorney to D.C., President Trump named Judge Jeanine Pirro. This is unusual, as she hasn't tried a case in forever. But her APPOINTMENT is interim, meaning the Senate can't do anything about it, and it bypasses Uncle Thom Tillis. It also sent a clear signalt when Martin was then named special prosecutor to investigate prosecutors, and, perhaps, Uncle Thom himself. Trump characteristically did NOT name a "moderate" to take over for Martin. Meanwhile, the DOJ has launched a criminal investigation of NY AG Letitia James. Hey, you know that dranged leftist who spit on Ed Martin? Yeah. That's called assault and she was arrested. I'd make it a heavier charge, since DemoKKKrats are demon-possessed, & her spittle was venomous, I'd charge her with assault with a deadly weapon. 6) Someone apparently read Kash Patel the riot act on FBI cuts, which will happen now with his support. Everybody is cutting. So far, DOGE cuts have totaled over 61,000 jobs, not counting another 77,000 in buyouts and retirements. Plus Trump fired the Zero-appointed Librarian of Congress. Oh and the FEMA boss was fired, too. 7) Six new arrests for illegal voter harvesting in TX. You know, the kind of fraud certain people said couldn't happen? Jeff Childers, who has become a regular here, wrote of this: "Paxton’s latest move is historic, not just for who he arrested, but for what it signals: a willingness to confront entrenched electoral abuse, even by putting officeholders in handcuffs. It’s a legal line-crossing. . . ." 8) Groomer City (San Francisco) has been brought to a halt by a network glitch in its train system. 9) Former U.S. Supreme Court Justice David Souter has died at age 85. 10) Trump has re-started the dormant collections on student loans. 11) This story says New York is "swinging wildly to the right." IN ILLEGAL CRIMINAL ALIEN NEWS 12) The Newark, NJ mayor was arrested for breaking into an ICE facility. Good. More handcuffs. More perp walks. It is abundantly clear that DemoKKKrats are wallowing in stupidity, thinking that aligning with evil, murderous invaders is somehow a political win. How long before they wake up? Possibly never. They, like Hollywood with its woke, are now so invested in this idea that I don't think they can ever escape it. IN CULTURAL NEWS 13) The great Ryan Burge takes a look at the nation's "megachurches" (2,000+ members), finds they are mostly in the south, west, mid-center but NOT in New England, and that they are non-denominational, which is the fastest-growing "denomination" in the country. 14) Robert Francis Prevost, an American, was elected Pope and will reign as Leo XIV. Reviews are mixed on how liberal or conservative he is. Richard Baris is a hard "no," so that tells me a lot. Trump congratulated him. Leo, not Rich. IN ECONOMIC NEWS 15) Prices are falling ...
