Inspiration: The classic cocktail The White Lady seems to fit Lanfear best. The beautiful white and silver tones of the cocktail reflect Lanfear's signature colors.

Cocktail Recipe:

In a shaker (no ice), pour:

2 oz gin

0.5 oz orange liqueur

0.5 oz lemon juice

1 oz egg white

dry shake, then add ice, then shake and strain into glass

Name: Demandred's Second Best????

Inspiration: Demandred seems like he would be a guy that would order a pretentious cocktail, that seems manly. So I thought the Sazerac would be fitting since I see it as a bougier play on an Old Fashioned. Personally, I like an Old Fashioned better, so I'd say this is second best just like Demandred.

Cocktail Recipe:

Rinse chilled rocks glass with absence, discard any excess, set aside

in a mixing glass with ice:

muddle a sugar cube with 1/2 tsp of water and 4 dashes Peychaud's bitters

add 2.5 oz rye whiskey

stir 15-20 seconds

strain into prepared glass

express lemon peel over drink, then garnish

Name: Semirhage's Pain/Killer

Inspiration: Semirhage's twist on a painkiller. Adding to the traditional painkiller recipe, I added a tajin rim and some chili oil to spice it up and make the cocktail "hurt so good".

Cocktail Recipe:

Start by rimming glass with tajin

in a shaker with ice, pour:

2 oz black (dark) rum

4 oz pineapple juice

1 oz cream of coconut

1 oz orange juice

Drizzle of chili oil

shake and then dirty pour (with the ice) into glass

Aginor's Experiment

Inspiration:

Every year for the cocktail book I look to do a specific series of cocktails. This year we are doing the Forsaken. This twist on a paloma is inspired by Aginor's ability to put things together that shouldn't go together. So the paloma with herbal liqueurs, saline, egg white and a smoked glass is an interesting twist on a classic.

Cocktail Recipe:

Start by smoking your glass, then

in a shaker without ice, pour:

2 oz blanco tequila

0.25 oz amaro

0.5 oz lime juice

1.5 oz grapefruit juice

2 drops of 20% saline solution

1 oz egg white

dry shake till foamy, add ice, then shake till cold

remove smoker from glass, strain cocktail into glass then add ice

top with soda till the foam rises just above the top of the glass

For WoTaHoliday, we encouraged people to donate ingredients into my cookpot (shaker).

Surprisingly, it wasn't that bad!!

Cocktail Recipe: In a cocktail shaker with ice, pour: 0.5 oz elderflower & lemon vodka 0.5 oz featherbone bourbon whiskey 0.5 oz Jagermeister 0.5 oz lemon juice 0.5 oz rhubarb ginger liqueur 0.5 oz midori 3 dashes grapefruit bitters 0.5 oz sloe gin 0.5 oz blue curacao 0.5 oz tonic 0.5 oz ginger beer 0.5 oz mango bay 151 shake, then strain into a glass with fresh ice

Inspiration: With The Gathering Madness coming up, I had to make a cocktail worthy of the The Black Tower. So this blackberry & bourbon bonding should suffice.

Cocktail Recipe: In a shaker without ice, put: 2 blackberries drizzle agave muddle, then pour: 1.5 oz blackberry bourbon 1.5 oz bourbon 4 oz lemonade 1 oz of egg white (or 1 egg white) shake, then add ice shake till cold double strain over glass with fresh ice garnish with a blackberry on the rim

Weep for Manetheren

Inspiration:

In light of the “cancellation” of WoT (not giving up hope), I thought it would be fitting to make this week’s cocktail to join the sadness of the fandom with the song/story of Manetheren. The red color of the cocktail represents the blood of Aemon, and the simple syrup around the rim simulates the tears as we weep for Manetheren and the show.

Cocktail Recipe: In a shaker with ice, pour: 1.5 oz vodka 0.75 oz Cointreau 0.75 oz cranberry juice 0.25 oz grenadine 0.25 oz rosemary simple syrup Shake, then strain into a martini glass Optional: rim martini glass with simple syrup (tears)
