  • Trigger Warnings Not Included
    Oct 10 2025

On this Seshisode of Thoughts Off The Stem, host Justin Barone jumps into an online debate about clever marketing, freedom of choice, one-sided opinions, and the softening of a triggered society.

This is where overthinking, oversensitivity, outrage, and clever marketing collide. Join the sesh as Justin dives into the debate on freedom, personal choice, and why some people manage to get triggered by absolutely nothing.

That’s right — we’re tackling marketing controversies, social sensitivity, and the absurdity of overthinking how something looks. Sensitivity is at an all-time high, and society’s now projecting fears and discomfort onto inanimate objects — because apparently everything’s offensive.

Justin shares his take with sharp sarcasm, biting humor, and unapologetic wit, serving up laughs and logic in equal measure.

Perfect for fans of comedy, edgy humor, and sarcastic takes on modern life.

  • Where Did the Giggles Go?
    Oct 3 2025

On this episode of Thoughts Off The Stem, a comedy podcast that dives into life’s absurdities, is it just me or does it seem like the laughter has died a little?I remember when we were young and we infused our weekends with herbs and spices. We giggled like idiots, for hours, at nothing. The first time I tried it, one of my buddies said "poop" and we were laughing like a pack of adolescent hyenas, sprawled out on my other buddy’s basement floor, tears streaming down our faces, clutching our stomachs, laughing so hard it felt like we were going to suffocate. Fast forward, I’m in my 40s and sure a giggle here and there happens, but it’s not like it was back in the day. So my question is, why? What happens over time that dilutes the chuckles? Or is it possible that regular experiences over time mean that, as we age, we become immune to the part of the experience where our bellies bounce like bowls full of jelly. I remember leaving high school parties with heavy eyes and cheek muscles that felt like they were training for Mr. Olympia.I personally miss the giggles. It was a big part of what drew me to life’s silly side in the first place. I love to laugh, and this thing basically opened the floodgates of silly. Now, not so much. I mean, it still happens — it just takes a little effort.Join the sesh, hop on the roller coaster of ridiculousness, and find out what made the laughter stop — and what you can do to get this creaky coaster back on track. This is all served up with sarcasm, storytelling comedy, and plenty of laughs along the way.Like, share, subscribe, leave a comment, and check out Tots420.com — your stop for funny podcast content and laughs that hit close to home.

  • Why Do We Celebrate Idiots?
    Oct 1 2025

This week on Thoughts Off The Stem we get real: the dumb are thriving. Coworkers who can’t do their jobs get praise like they just cured cancer. Smart, competent people? Labeled troublemakers. Society’s mantra seems to be: keep the idiots happy and don’t make anyone think too hard.In this episode, we rage, we laugh, and we ask the obvious question everyone’s thinking: why do we praise idiots? From people protecting their jobs by surrounding themselves with dumb yes-men, to friendships that are easier with morons because questions are overrated, we break down the absurdity of living in a world that rewards stupidity.Of course, we can’t ignore the king of the stupids himself: Trump. We dissect his UN speech where he spent most of it mocking the entire assembly as idiots… and then, in the same breath, said he loved them. Genius strategy? Or just another example of society cheering for nonsense? We also explore the rise of stupid people in the workplace, how incompetence and mediocrity are celebrated, and why lazy coworkers and dumb yes-men often get more recognition than smart, analytical people. From everyday workplace idiocy to public figures making headlines for nonsense, this episode highlights how and why dumb behavior is rewarded, why smart people are sidelined, and how stupidity has become the new status quo.If you’ve ever wondered why mediocrity is praised, why dumb behavior spreads faster than competence, or why society seems obsessed with rewarding idiots, this episode is your sarcastic, annoyed, and brutally honest guide to understanding the absurdity of our world.
