Patrick's fascinating journey to leadership started with nearly 20 years in the military and law enforcement, after which he took the path much less traveled to web design, instructional design, and finally to higher education. Along the way he earned an M.Ed. and Ed.D. He defines his leadership as participative leadership, maintains a guiding principle that "everyone has a voice," and holds firm belief--backed by his own research--that diversity leads to better decisions.
