He emphasizes that good churches and pastors should focus exclusively on preaching Christ crucified, not on personal preferences or politics which can become idols. Drawing from Jesus' final words on the cross, he outlines five best practices to prepare for heaven: warfare (prayer), witness (sharing Jesus with others), work (serving others in Jesus' name), speaking the Word of God, and worship through complete surrender to God.
