SHAME IS A POWERFUL EMOTION.
It can make you feel like nothing, like you're worthless, like you don't deserve anything good.
BUT GUESS WHAT? YOU'RE WRONG. SHAME IS A DESTRUCTIVE EMOTION, AND IT'S ONE THAT WE SHOULD ALL WORK TO GET RID OF.
We've all been there—feeling ashamed of something we did or said (or didn't do or say) because we felt like it made us look bad or not worthy of acceptance by others.
But here's the thing—shame-based thinking isn't just a problem for you; it's also a problem for your friends, family members, coworkers… anyone who has ever had to deal with any kind of shame in their lives.
Shame makes us want to hide our mistakes and shortcomings instead of learning from them and moving forward in life with more confidence than ever before.
And that's exactly why I'm talking about it today: so that we can all start to move away from shame-based behaviors towards more empowering ones!
