Taking his GIANTS ambassadorial duties far too seriously, Alex has now bullied his actor mate Brandon to do a podcast about their journey to discover the best pubs and eateries in Western Sydney to watch away AFL games. With episodes dropping every Wednesday, we see the AFL through a new lens as Brandon questions the culture and obscurities of the game. This isn’t a pod where we just sit and chat through the weekly match ups, it’s built around social activities and engaging with our friends and audience.     Brandon is away again so in celebration of Gather Round we invited our resident Adelaide fan Nick English on to walk us through Gather Round. Nick also comes from a very proud Italian heritage so he gives us the history of the extraordinary contributions of Italian Australians in the AFL.

    Brandon is away so Producer Sam steps into his place, who is actually in a great mood after celebrating rare back to back wins for the Eagles. Alex is less happy after another defeat for the Giants and the bye can't come fast enough so we can get some of our troops back.

    Sam then goes through the history of the (ridiculous) rules of AFL over it's history and then explains the new rule changes for 2026 in detail. Did you know there used to be no umpires back in the day?
