Often times in my trawling boat, the Clementine Churchill. I gaze out at the vastness of the sea and ponder over all the courageous and infamous figures in military history. Some making both sea and land their playing fields. This of course is done over a glass of ice and a straight double of 18 year single-malt Glenlivet. but that is a different story all together. The last time I gazed under the stars in the Clementine, I felt no such figures were quite as audacious as one. In the annals of American history, amidst the winds of change and the relentless march of progress, one name emerges as a colossal figure—a symbol of boundless energy, unwavering resolve, and a fierce commitment to shaping the destiny of a nation. That name is Theodore Roosevelt, but to a nation that would grow to adore him, he was simply "Teddy."
