John Boyle was born in #Motherwell, and signed for #Chelsea as a 15-year-old whilst on holiday in #London. He was one of the lesser-known members of the successful Chelsea side of the period.

Playing in the winning Chelsea League Cup Final victory over Leicester City Football Club in 1965, FA Cup Final Runner up for Chelsea against Tottenham Hotspur in 1967 and winning the European Cup Winners Cup in 1971 for Chelsea agaianst Real Madrid C.F.
