  • Beauty & the Boundaries: Intuitive Hairstyling, Compassionate Care & Transforming Legacy with Caitlyn Cayea
    Feb 10 2026

In this episode, Allison chats with Caitlyn Cayea, the owner of Enso Design Studio, an intuitive hair and styling experience rooted in authenticity, presence, and care. Caitlyn inherited a long-standing salon from her family, and as a new mother and business owner, she faced challenges most of us can’t even imagine—navigating toxic staff, a major renovation, a global pandemic, and the pressures of stepping into a legacy all at once.

But Caitlyn didn’t just survive—she transformed her space, her approach, and herself. From creating a salon that feels like a sanctuary, to building an inclusive environment for clients of all backgrounds, Caitlyn has learned to trust her intuition, honor boundaries, and listen deeply to her body and energy. She’s not only a stylist but an empath, healer, and guide, helping her clients reconnect with themselves as much as their hair.

In this conversation, we’ll hear about Caitlyn’s journey of resilience, the lessons she’s learned from letting go of what no longer serves, and how she’s creating a business—and a life—that feels alive, balanced, and deeply real.

So, get ready to pause, breathe, and step into a story of courage, care, and mindful transformation.

    Jan 14 2026

Jen Dixon founded Clean Slate Cleaning Service in 2019 after her corporate marketing position was "eliminated" while she was on maternity leave. What initially felt like an ending became a powerful beginning. Jen took a cleaning job after rebelling from her career. She found comfort in cleaning and was able to be mindful of her thoughts rather than be distracted by them. As Jen discovered firsthand how a clean, organized space brought her mental clarity and emotional relief, she realized she wasn’t alone in needing that support. Now, Jen is scaling her business and stepping fully into her next chapter of growth.

In this conversation, we’ll explore themes like starting over with a clean slate, navigating life as a single working mom, and using lived compassion as a way to be in service to others. Jen believes many of us are quietly drowning—and that there is absolutely no shame in asking for help.

She credits much of her success to referrals, community, and activating her existing network, showing how reputation, relationships, and integrity can fuel sustainable growth. Through her skills, resilience, and deep compassion, Jen has become the WO-man in her life and in her business—and she’s helping others breathe easier along the way.

    Dec 31 2025

Balancing self-care and self-soothing can feel especially complicated as an entrepreneur. When hustle is normalized, boundaries blur, and rest often feels earned instead of necessary.

In this episode of Wise and WELL-THY, Ebony Unique sits down with Melody Johnson-Smith to explore the difference between self-care and self-soothing, why recognizing that distinction matters for entrepreneurs, and how both can play a role in sustaining your well-being while building and leading your own work.
