    Dementia is a condition that affects memory, thinking, and behavior.

    It is not a single disease but a term for a group of symptoms caused by disorders impacting the brain. Common types include Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, and Lewy body dementia.

    Symptoms can range from forgetfulness and confusion to difficulty with communication and daily tasks. Dementia is progressive, meaning it worsens over time, and primarily affects older adults, though it is not a normal part of aging and unfortunately, it’s starting to affect younger adults.

    Early diagnosis and support can help manage symptoms and improve quality of life.

    On today’s show, Janet Rich Pittman joins me as we discuss Dementia – the causes, the treatment and what can be done to reverse the symptoms.
