  • Episode 9: Give Us Barabbas
    Apr 6 2026

In honor of Resurrection Sunday, we are bringing you a well known episode from a few years ago detailing the grace & mercy of Jesus through the story of Barabus. Barabbas is a striking figure in the Easter story—a guilty man set free while Jesus, innocent and blameless, is condemned in his place. His release is more than a historical moment; it’s a powerful picture of substitution and grace. In this episode, we explore how Barabbas represents each of us—undeserving, yet offered freedom through Christ. • Episode 6: Gifted but Not Surrendered
    Mar 16 2026

In this episode, “Gifted but Not Surrendered,” we conclude our study of Balaam by looking at Numbers 31, where his story ultimately ends. Balaam was a man who clearly possessed spiritual gifting—he heard from God and even spoke powerful prophecies over Israel, including a glimpse of the coming Messiah. Yet despite being used by God, Balaam’s heart was never fully surrendered to Him. Driven by the desire for honor, influence, and reward, he ultimately counseled Israel’s enemies in a way that led God’s people into sin. His life serves as a sobering reminder that spiritual gifts, influence, or ministry success are not substitutes for obedience and surrender.

  • Episode 4: Don't Beat The Donkey
    Mar 2 2026

In this episode, we dive into Numbers 22 and unpack the fascinating and layered story of Balaam, Balak, and the talking donkey. As Israel draws near to Moab, King Balak is gripped by fear and seeks a spiritual solution to a physical problem—hiring Balaam to curse God’s people. But what unfolds reveals powerful truths about God’s sovereignty, spiritual blindness, and the danger of a divided heart.

We explore why Balaam, a prophet who could hear from God, still wrestled with greed and compromise. Why would God initially permit him to go—and then oppose him on the road? And what does it mean that a donkey saw what the prophet could not? Through this dramatic encounter with the Angel of the Lord, we see how God will go to great lengths to redirect us, even using unexpected means to get our attention.

This conversation highlights the unshakable truth that no curse can override God’s blessing, no scheme can thwart His plans, and no hidden motive escapes His notice. Numbers 22 challenges us to examine our own hearts: Are we truly surrendered to God’s will, or are we trying to negotiate with it?
