Cheers - This is Alex - your music man, record guy, host and curator of The Vinyl Playground Podcast.

Here, I take a look at a rather large collection of records, my family's record collection. 12 record collectors under the same roof, and the music we collectively bought between 1936 and 1987.

Originally intended as a personal letter between 2 musical cousins discussing family and music, The Vinyl Playground has bloomed into a "musical family tree" with almost 100 years of recorded music.

Thank goodness it still exists in the family archives.

Hosted by Alex Oliver (the "music man, record guy, host and curator") The Vinyl Playground Podcast, a series of "mix tape letters to family back home" which mixes equal parts classic popular music, history, education and critique.
