Wahoo! We're back with our continued series of reviewing the Super Mario Bros. films. The sequel to the 2023 smash film hit theaters last week, and we have our thoughts ready for you. A lot happened with the Scream franchise between VI and 7, and now we are here finally with our thoughts on the new film! Only 14 months after the requel, we got a sequel to the requel with Scream VI. This time, Ghostface takes Manhattan after following the Carpenter sisters and the Meeks-Martin twins to the Big Apple. This turned out to be the last film with Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega, and did we think they went out on a narrative high note? 11 years after the release of the "final" Scream film, the franchise sliced it's way back into theaters with Scre4m! The fourth entry of the franchise unexpectedly ended up being Wes Craven's final film before his death in 2015. The film is an oddity in the franchise as almost a stand alone in between two distinct phases of the franchise. Do we think the film holds up compared to the rest of the films before it? Back in 2000, people believed that the Scream series came to a conclusion with the release of Scream 3, the capper of a trilogy. While that didn't end up being the case, the film still acts as the conclusion to the original trilogy of films. Does the film hold up in 2026? Come back next episode for Scream 4 (aka Scre4m)!
