A strange letter appears outlining a plot by Islamic extremists to infiltrate Birmingham schools. Hamza and Brian visit the supposed mastermind of the plot, and he tells them he did take over a bunch of schools – just not for the reasons in the letter. Listen, after listening to S-Town I’d decided Brian was a freaking (possibly Jewish?) Saint. His calm temperament and experience are other worldly and stood out even more against an unseasoned doctor-turned-journalism student’s demeanor. At times, the student is obviously too close and too emotionally invested in getting the outcome he wants, causing bias. However, Brian was consistent and inspiring as a mentor.

Now, the subject matter at hand. I am appalled by the number of injustices in this story, not only against Muslims but against freedom of the press, speech, etc. Wow. The massive reach and insane effects of this letter were unreal. Cool story and enjoyed all the episodes

Just another reason to love Brian Reed
