On this week's episode, we are joined by Justin Alstad to revisit the conversation started on our last episode. Justin brings a unique perspective as he has formerly been a member of the leadership team for the game, and is by all accounts, one of the most successful players in the history of the game. We drew from that experience and wisdom in this conversation as we discussed the complexities of card game rules and the distinction between misplays and game rule violations. We also touched on expectations moving forward and some potential ways to improve the current state of rulings and tournament procedures.

In this conversation, John and Jake reconnect after a long hiatus, discussing their personal lives and the impact of family changes on their gaming experiences. Jake shares his journey into fatherhood, while John reflects on his mixed feelings about the game of Redemption, particularly following his experiences at Nationals. They discuss the importance of clear rules in gaming and the challenges faced in tournament settings, particularly regarding judging and player interactions. The dialogue highlights the need for constructive conversations within the community to address issues and improve the gaming experience, culminating in a hopeful outlook for future events like Nationals. Thanks for checking out this special episode of The Threshing Floor featuring Jayden Alstad and Tyler Stevens. This was a bit of a free for all with lots of different discussions and even a brand new spoiler from the new set. We missed having Jake on this episode as he is spending time with his family following the arrival of their first child, so this episode is dedicated in honor of baby Noah!

This episode was recorded live as an experimental test run to see how live recording may enhance the podcast in the future. If you enjoyed this or had strong opinions against it compared to what we normally do, let us know. Feedback is welcomed and appreciated. The live video version is available here if you would like to check that out.

Hendrix and Agur both have a strong involvement in the Redemption family and are friends to the community. The same certainly goes for Andy at Your Turn Games. Everyone knows that this podcast is a definitive piece of Redemption media.

Being in a busy season of life, I haven't yet listened to many episodes of The Threshing Floor Podcast, but I was able to listen to Episode 76 from start to finish. I thoroughly enjoyed this episode and getting to experience all of the new segments. There's something for everybody. If you are a competitive (or aspiring competitive player), there's plethora of content for you here.

I, myself, have a deeper interest in the collectable aspect of things, as well as the more hobbyist, casual game play style. I was pleasantly surprised to hear things that more deeply applied to my particular interests, in addition to everything else. Thanks, guys, for everything you do, and I look forward to spending more time listening to TTF.

Congratulations on the new additions, TTF!
