Robby and Sammi slam the decision to include flashbacks revealing the Pinup Girl's origin story and the critical consensus agrees, criticizing the film for "over explaining the killer's backstory." Sammi and Robby lament the main character's "dumb decisions" and inability to "shut the f*** up," making her a poor horror heroine.
