Over the course of the last five years, my weekly bagel run has become far more meaningful than I ever would have expected. Touching on the pandemic, unemployment, and the recent military occupation of DC I explore how a simple food has become a symbol of normality, and gift of kindness, across a half decade of stress and sadness.
