Im a step parents and I went from working 80-90 hours a week when I was single and had no life to trying my best to work 40 and be present with my family the rest of my time (doesn't always work out). I've done the best I can for my family going from 300k surplus to 200k in dept trying to give them the best experience in life that I can.
I don't regret my journey because I've enjoyed the experiences with my family but I also see that it's done very little to improve how they see me or how they see the world.
I want to see my kids exceed beyond me and that's something I really feel I'm failing at and struggle to see how the let them theory can get me back on track for that particular goal.
