Tambo was diagnosed with cancer, and although treatable, was going to be extremely expensive to treat. Fortunately, Chris knew of "Project K9 Hero", a 501(3)C nonprofit organization that cares for retired Police K9 and Military Working dogs by paying for medical care, rehabilitation, and death benefit assistance. This incredible organization paid for Tambo's surgical costs, as well as all costs associated with chemotherapy and rehabilitation.
