    Augusta University Anthropology Lecturer Stacey Thompson joins The Research Report to talk about her new book, Augusta Arsenal, which she co-authored with David Tucker. The book is a pictorial history of the Arsenal, which now is Augusta University. The book, which includes nearly 200 photos, is published by Arcadia Publishing. Thompson is the director of the Guard House Museum on the Summerville Campus. The Research Report is anchored by Dr. David W. Bulla, chair of the Department of Communication at AU, and produced by Jasmine Garcia, who coordinates the TVCP Lab on the Summerville Campus.     On this episode of The Research Report, Professor Emerita of History Carol Sue Humphrey talks with host David W. Bulla about the press of the American Revolution and Early Republic Eras. Humphrey is the author ofThe Press of the Young Republic, 1783-1833 from Greenwood Press. She also wrote The American Revolution and the Press: The Promise of Independence with David Copeland (Northwestern University Press) and This Popular Engine: New England Newspapers During the American Revolution, 1775-1789 (University of Delaware Press). Humphrey, who taught at Oklahoma Baptist University and long served as secretary of the American Journalism Historians Association, gave the fifth annual Future of the First Amendment Lecture at Augusta University's JSAC Coffeehouse on March 10.
