    Brandon Garrison is US citizen residing in Florida. His wife, Gabriela came to the United States legally, she has no criminal record. According to Brandon, she was illegally detained in October, 2025 and has been in immigrant detention for the past 5 months. She is eligible for US citizenship through her marriage to Brandon but the Federal government is barring them from completing the necessary paperwork.

    Brandon has drained his savings, left his work and is trying to keep his family together as he fights this case and his wife faces imminent deportation.

    Although most of think of Minneapolis for the center of the immigration raids, more and more people are being apprehended daily by roving patrols in the greater Los Angeles area. Almost weekly, apprehension numbers continue to increase.

    Memo Torres of critically acclaimed, LA Taco shares his findings with John Carlos Frey. Memo is the Director of Engagement and a multimedia journalist. He is also the host of the Daily Memo which chronicles apprehensions by ICE and Border Patrol throughout Southern California. Almost daily, he details the raids by reporting a list of places where people have been apprehended, if available he reads names and sometimes the tactics used during apprehension. The Daily Memo has become a chilling account of the human toll for the ongoing immigration raids.

    Over a year ago, a prosecutor for ICE in immigration court was exposed by journalists for having a racially charged X account. The exposé seemed to spark an investigation by the Department of Homeland Security but now he is back on the job and the racist X account is still active.

    Steven Monacelli is the journalist who broke this story. He is an award winning investigative journalist focusing on extremism, disinformation, social movements and the influence of dark money in politics. His work has appeared in countless publications such as Rolling Stone and The Daily Beast. He's currently a special investigative correspondent for The Texas Observer. Steven discusses his findings and to his surprise, why the ICE employee is back on the job.

On the podcast is Patricia Solorio, she's the associate director at the fund for Santa Barbara, which is a nontraditional community foundation that supports organizations and groups working for progressive social change in Santa Barbara County. Patricia and the Foundation have funded advocates in support of the most affected by the raids.   • Pregnant Women Shackled in Immigrant Detention

    Eunice Cho is senior counsel at the ACLU National Prison Project. She's a nationally recognized expert and litigator on issues pertaining to immigration detention, including access to counsel. She has served as lead and co-counsel in numerous cases to protect the rights of immigrant detainees, including people held at the cruelly named Alligator Alcatraz detention facility and the Guantanamo Naval Base.

    She recently co-authored a letter to ICE describing the conditions of pregnant women in detention describing violation of protocol and human rights abuses.

    On the podcast she discusses the current state of immigrant detention and her concerns about the escalation of new detention facilities and the decreasing state of care for detainees.

In the past few months, Native Americans some also referred to as First Nations People have been detained in Iowa, Arizona and Minnesota. Tribal Identification has not been accepted in some cases even though all Native peoples are US Citizens. Gabriel Galanda sits down with John Carlos Frey to discuss the current immigration raids and how Natives are being affected. Gabe is an indigenous rights attorney and the managing lawyer at Galanda Broadman. His practice focuses on representing indigenous nations, businesses and citizens. He advocates against tribal and citizenship rights violations, as well as other domestic indigenous human rights abuses, including law enforcement and violence
