  • Episode 156: "Spaceballs" (1987)
    May 2 2025

    Welcome Back Radical Ones! ⚡️

“May the Schwartz be with you!” This week Ryan, Rob, and Brother David are blasting into the absurd galaxy of Mel Brooks’ "Spaceballs" from 1987! Rob proudly claims it’s his favorite Star Wars movie (yes, you heard that right — and no, he’s not taking it back), so you know the Schwartz is strong with this one! We’re breaking down the iconic gags, the endlessly quotable lines, and why this movie still reigns supreme in the universe of parodies.

From Yogurt’s merchandising empire to Dark Helmet’s action figure obsession, nothing — and we mean nothing — is safe from our retro rewind! We also dare to dream: what could a Spaceballs 2 look like today?

And don’t fly off just yet — after the episode wraps, stick around for a special message from our movie geek, you won’t want to miss.

Fasten your seatbelts, Radical Ones — it’s time for ludicrous speed and even more ludicrous laughs.

Stars: Bill Pullman, John Candy, and Rick Moranis, Daphne Zuniga, Dick Van Patten, George Wyner, Lorene Yarnell, and the voice of Joan Rivers.

  • ThunderCats Bonus: "Mail Seven & Goodbye To Hachiman"
    Apr 25 2025

    Welcome Back Bunglers! ⚡

This week, kitty cat fans — it’s time to open the mailbag and sharpen those swords, because we’ve got Bungler mail to catch up on and one final goodbye to say.

We’re honoring the legendary Hachiman, who made his final appearance in the series. Our lone warrior, who often got fooled more times than not, still held strong to his code of honor — and we’re giving him the proper sendoff he deserves.

(We also say goodbye to Scooper in what turned out to be his last appearance too....Yeah. That happened.)

Plus, we hear from some of our favorite Thunderian listeners: Lovely Leah, Costas, Metesh, and a fun question from Krassia“Would we live on Third Earth… and if so, where?”

David’s answer? Oh, it’s a journey. It starts in the Lord of the ThunderCats’ bedroom, quickly escalates to taking out the Mutants and Lunataks, destroying the Black Pyramid, and then—just for good measure—cementing over the whole thing...we just may have to exercise Jaga to make it work!

…Oh, and Bengali’s involved, of course!

Tune in for the laughs, lore, and a little love for our favorite warrior one last time.

✨Thank you to the "ThunderCats Wiki" for the plot synopsis✨

  • Episode 154: "Ghost Fever" (1987) 👻🧛🏼‍♂️🧟
    Apr 4 2025

    Welcome Back Radical Ones! ⚡️

This week on the show, Ryan and Rob are diving headfirst into the 1987 spectacle that is "Ghost Fever"! Ryan is going in blind, but Rob has already witnessed this "classic" (and we're using that term very loosely).

Prepare for a movie that throws everything at the screen, including breakdancing sequences, a surprisingly lengthy 20-minute boxing match, spooky voodoo curses, a creature of the night in the form of a vampire, a shambling crew of zombies, and the legendary Sherman Hemsley in a scene you won't soon forget – involving a torture device and a rather unfortunate posterior impalement!

With Rob's prior knowledge and Ryan's fresh perspective, will Mr. Jefferson's presence elevate this cinematic oddity? Or will it simply amplify the sheer, unadulterated weirdness? Is "Ghost Fever" a misunderstood masterpiece lurking in VHS tapes, a cinematic trainwreck of epic proportions, or something utterly unique?

Tune in to find out if we survive this one!

Stars: Sherman Hemsley, Luis Ávalos, Jennifer Rhodes, Deborah Benson, Diana Brookes and Myron Healey.

    Mar 28 2025

    Welcome Back Bunglers! ⚡

It's time for more kitty cat fun with your Radical Retro Brothers! This week's episode review kicks off with a personal quest update! Join us as we celebrate a major milestone in David's pursuit of Jem and the Holograms nostalgia – the arrival of a complete 1986 Jem doll, still in its original packaging!

Then, prepare for a wild shift in gears as we delve into two distinct and entertaining episodes. Did you ever wish you could witness Mumm-Ra's villainy from a fly's perspective? Or how about the image of the ThunderCats breaking a sweat on elliptical machines, these episodes offer a unique blend of classic ThunderCats action and truly unforgettable (and sometimes hilarious) moments. Tune in to hear our thoughts on these and so much more!

Today's double episode starts with "Bracelet of Power":

⚡"When the Thundercats bring back more of the Treasure of Thundera. Snarf is fascinated by a bracelet and sees that when adorned, it, makes everyone obeys him. Mumm-Ra becomes aware of this and will stop at nothing to make it his own."

    Then in "The Wild Workout":

"The Wild Workout is the one hundred sixth episode of ThunderCats (original series) The Lunataks hook up exercise machines to generate power for Sky Tomb's engines, but their own laziness forces them to find Thundercats to do the hard work. Ultimately, they opted to capture Cheetara, the most mobile of the Thundercats, to use her speed as a power source for the contraption."
