Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) Study by the CDC and Kaiser Permanente (1995–1997) surveyed 17,000 adults about childhood trauma (abuse, neglect, household dysfunction).

1. Religious Psychosis = Fruit of Rebellion

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. (Hosea 4:6)

2. Knowledge = Instruction = Life

Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life. (Proverbs 4:13)

3. Obedience is Better than Sacrifice

Ye shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days…(Deuteronomy 5:33)

4. Disobedience = Cycles & Confusion

As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly. (Proverbs 26:11)

5. Repentance Breaks the Cycle

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. (Acts 3:19)

6. Freedom Requires Truth

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:32)

📖 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)

7. God’s Mercy in Giving Instruction

Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.(Proverbs 1:23)

And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left. (Isaiah 30:21)

Choose obedience.

Choose knowledge.

Choose instruction.

For in obedience, there is safety.

In submission, there is deliverance.

And in truth, there is freedom.
