God can redeem you, today, when I was reading in Exodus 1, it discussed how Gods chosen children were being oppressed due to obedience of being fruitful and multiplying. A death threat was sent out to the men and God offered unconventional ways to preserve the men’s life under threat! There is power in a safe space, however you must differentiate if the space you are in is healthy or not!
