In The Fifth Element, cab driver and professional chaos magnet Korben Dallas accidentally picks up the universe’s last hope—an orange-haired superbeing who crash-lands in his flying taxi like a very confused meteor. Together with a priest, a diva, and several extremely suspicious rocks, they must stop the galaxy’s most evil floating meatball from wiping out all life. Meanwhile, billionaire villain Jean-Baptiste Emanuel Zorg spends the movie failing upward while plastic guns, space cruise ships, and shouting contests do most of the plot’s heavy lifting. In the end, the fate of existence comes down to whether humanity can locate the mystical power of love faster than the bad guys can shoot everything.

In the end, Barry learns to believe in himself… and is rewarded when Chuck Norris shows up in real life to personally confirm that yes, this kid is now cool.

Two California surfer bros discover they’re actually long-lost princes destined to liberate a tropical island, which is exactly as responsible as it sounds. Armed with surfboards, bad 90s slang, and a kid who can see the future through a Game Gear (because of course he can), they take on an evil dictator who somehow loses to teenagers who say “rad” unironically. It’s part martial-arts adventure, part beach-bum fantasy, and 100% proof that the early ’90s would greenlight literally anything if you added ninjas.
