  • #7: Empaths Aren’t Weak But Their Boundaries Usually Are
    Nov 13 2025

In this sharp, self-aware episode of The Noetic Feminist, we untangle the messy myth of the “super-empath.” Being sensitive doesn’t make you fragile - it just means you need better boundaries. Through a story involving a crystal burrito, a shamanic workshop gone emotionally sideways, and some clear feminist philosophy, we explore how the idea of how oneness can become a trap that erases personal limits. With humor, clarity, and a side of academic rigor, this episode shows why real compassion requires distance, not absorption.

By the end, you’ll have a short, practical ritual to separate your feelings from everyone else’s (no aura scrubbing necessary).

  • #6: Art of One's Own - Virginia Woolf and Patriarchy's Takeover of Our Creativity
    Nov 5 2025

Our creativity is medicine. It's sacred and it's power, and yet often without us noticing patriarchy gets its hands on it not only telling us what counts as beautiful, what's too angry, what's just too much, but by seeping into our lives in such a way as to make us create things that are about our oppression or trauma instead of what's in our hearts.

That's how it gets into our creativity without us knowing, here's a deeper thought that really stings a little - there are greater stories we might tell if we weren't busy surviving and calling out our traumas or abuses. Whole forms of art we haven't invented yet because so much of our time as women or any oppressed minority goes to tending the bruises that we have.

  • #5 My Feminism Is... The 10-Word Truth That Changes Everything
    Oct 29 2025

This episode moves beyond academic theory to explore the deeply personal and lived definitions of feminism. Host Dr. Victoria Lynn Schmidt argues that the movement's true power lies not in textbooks, but in the "Aha! moments"—the everyday injustices that forge a person's commitment to equity. It tackles the resistance many feel toward the label ("angry," "man-hater") and emphasizes the absolute necessity personal feminism that fights for the liberation of all women and benefits all genders by breaking traditional norms. The episode challenges listeners to distill their own belief system into a 10-word truth, and most importantly, to align that truth with concrete action by defining and enforcing a personal boundary in their life.
