  • New food writer Alexina Anatole, in her own words
    Apr 30 2025

In advance of that interview I thought I’d send you this little video that was part of the TNDT Substacker live Zoom call from last month. Alexina kindly joined us to chat all things cooking and baking. So that we could all talk freely, we agreed I wouldn’t share the rest of the call, but it was so nice to have Alexina’s expertise for our questions.

I hope you’ll consider joining our little inner community to come to future chats.

Alexina’s path to becoming a food writer is an interesting one. I hope you’ll enjoy watching this little video of her sharing her story.

After this was another in-person chocolate tasting last Sunday and the next gathering I’m planning is a Summer picnic in London (more to come on that in this week’s newsletter - but if you’re not from London and already know you’re visiting and would like to join, please let me know so we can do our best to plan around you!).

There will be more online gatherings too. If there are any topics you’re interested in, or any people you’d like me to try to get along, please let me know in the comments!

If you’d like to join these events and get access to the 150+ articles in the archive you can become a paid The Next Delicious Thing subscriber for less than £1/week here:

I’ll be back in your inboxes later today with an exciting pop up happening this weekend, some news about the maps I’ve curated, and the interview with Alexina!

Then next week I’ll share the full list of chocolates we tried from around the world!

    Jen xx

  • FIRST SUBSTACK LIVE Playback - chocolate tips and tea
    Mar 26 2025

I’m not actually expecting anyone to watch the recording but please do say hi in the comments if you do (even if you only watch a little bit of it!).

And if you have any more questions, please pop those in the comments too!

We covered a lot more than just my planned topic. My opinion on various chocolate, including Ruby Chocolate and Lindt and Rococo

Thank you Sophie Bamford, Mike Amp, claire j-a, Ian Brice, Isobel Carse and everyone else who tuned into my live video! Thank you for turning up and for your questions!

You gave me lots of ideas for future short video topics! So if you can’t be bothered watching this I will be converting some of them into pieces for my Things You Didn’t Know You Needed to Know About Chocolate series!

If you know anyone who might like to know about these things you can share with them via this button:

and if you’re not already subscribed you can do so here:
