The companionship, comfort, and joy they bring us makes them part of our family, like trusted friends who are always there when we need them. Pets are admired for their loyalty, strength, and unique personalities - qualities that many Satanists also respect and value.

What is a Soulmate?

Merriam Webster defines a soulmate as: “a close friend or romantic partner with whom one has a unique deep connection based on mutual understanding and acceptance”

Whether you believe in the concept of soulmates or not, there is no denying a connection we can have with someone which feels like it is on a whole other level. Although we as Satanists do not recognize the “soul” as an energy or life-force, “soulmate” is an apt term we can use to describe the one person who is suited to us and only us. The person with whom we feel deeply connected; the person who makes us feel loved, safe, and understood. Soulmates share a mutual respect, genuine love, and complete understanding of each other.

Eventually, however, soulmates must part, whether through circumstance, or death. How does one deal with the death of a soulmate? When a part of you is “ripped away” and leaves you feeling empty and incomplete?
