The Nazca Lines: Messages from the Sky

The Nazca Lines are located in a vast, arid plain called the Pampas de Jumana, about 250 miles south of Lima, the capital of Peru. This area is one of the driest places on Earth, with an average annual rainfall of less than an inch. Imagine a landscape so barren and still that it almost feels otherworldly. And yet, this harsh desert is home to one of the most extraordinary artistic achievements in human history.
