Sociologist PATRICIA KINGORI, Professor of Global Health Ethics at the WELLCOME CENTRE FOR ETHICS & HUMANITIES (ETHOX), UNIVERSITY OF OXFORD (www.ndph.ox.ac.uk/team/patricia-kingori) in conversation with award-winning American journalist SUSANNAH CAHALAN (www.susannahcahalan.com/), author of THE GREAT PRETENDER about American psychologist DAVID ROSENHAN's influential 1973 study, ON BEING SANE IN INSANE PLACES. The study used pseudopatients to challenge the process of psychiatric diagnosis.
